How hard would it be to have everyone who wants to give blood take this test and wait 20 minutes prior to donating. Or even undergo the donation while the thing is completing its test, and if its negative, groovy, they walk out after their cookie. Positive, they get referred for additional testing and confirmation, and the blood they donated is destroyed. Simple. Easy. Secure. Non-discriminatory.Stark Raving Dadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17151940237539560031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169953638286229826.post-90589606300912526112011-01-27T12:17:23.821-04:002011-01-27T12:17:23.821-04:00I'd also just like to point out that with all ...I'd also just like to point out that with all of this crazy technology and flying cars and hover pants that we have "nowadays" (as The Captain would say), you'd think they could invent a test for HIV in donated blood. Or maybe screen *everyone's* blood, regardless if they have "ever had sex with a gay man, even once, since 1977" or "ever lived in (name your African country), even once, since 1982" or if they have "ever had sex, even once, with a prostitute".

But, I guess that's probably too much to ask.cenobytehttp://www.cenobyte.ca/noreply@blogger.com
